Their discussion, titled “America’s Streamlined Rescue for US Subsidiaries of European Companies,” will explore the evolving legal strategies that European parent companies are using to restructure or rescue financially distressed U.S. subsidiaries. They will cover the practical advantages for foreign-owned entities of U.S. bankruptcy tools, including Subchapter V of Chapter 11, such as speed of the proceeding, court-supervised restructuring options, and protections that may not be available in home jurisdictions.
