Mahnoor Misbah to Participate in NYSBA Panel on Impact of Remote and Hybrid Work on Law Firms’ Diversity & Inclusion
Mahnoor Misbah, an associate in Morrison Cohen’s Business Litigation Department, will be participating in a panel discussion at the annual New York State Bar Association, Commercial & Federal Litigation Section 2022 Spring Meeting on Saturday, May 14, 2022.
The panel, entitled “How Law Firms and Attorneys Can Help Foster Diversity & Inclusion in the New Normal,” will be moderated by Deborah Martin Owens, Global Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Vinson & Elkins, and in addition to Mahnoor, will include panelists Maryana Kodner, Chief Operating Officer at Morvillo Abramowitz Grand Iason & Anello, and Courtney Finerty-Stelzner, an associate at Getnick & Getnick.
Discussion topics will include how working remotely has impacted law firms’ diversity and inclusion efforts; what law firms can do to address inequities that may result from remote and hybrid workplace arrangements; what measures law firms can take to provide fair opportunities for associates as we return to the office more regularly; and how to address work allocation when some attorneys spend more time working remotely than in person.
The Spring Meeting will take place in Ithaca, NY over the weekend of May 13-15, 2022.
