Jarrod Bernstein Quoted in San Francisco Chronicle on Crisis Management at Universities
Of Counsel Jarrod Bernstein was quoted in a San Francisco Chronicle article that discussed how academia is increasingly a target in the evolving American culture wars, and candidates for top university posts will need to develop a sharper political radar than ever before as scrutiny continues.
Jarrod, who advises clients on issues regarding crisis management, communications and government relations, said, “Managing a public policy crisis is becoming a necessary job for a university president… Now, the types of crises universities are being asked to manage has shifted to a different lens in light of the Israel-Hamas conflict.” Leaders need to “get directly engaged” with students. “It’s messier. But it’s necessary,” he stated.
