David Saxe Comments on Reduced First Department Schedule Due to Judicial Vacancies

November 26, 2019 – Morrison Cohen partner Hon. David B. Saxe (ret.), a former Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, First Department, was recently quoted in an important article in the New York Law Journal titled “1st Dept Reduction of Argument Days Spotlights Judge Shortage; Cuomo Urged to Act” on November 21, 2019.  The article dealt with the problems occurring on the Appellate Division, First Department due to continuing judicial vacancies there.

Justice Saxe is a member of the Governor's Judicial Screening Committee for the Appellate Division, First Department and additionally is a member of the Appellate Division, First Department's Character & Fitness Committee.
