Solomon Shinerock and Stephanie Rawlings-Blake Join Morrison Cohen
Morrison Cohen welcomes Partner Solomon Shinerock and Of Counsel Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, who join the firm in our Government Strategies & Controversies Practice.
Solomon leverages a strong background in complex litigation, handling cross-border disputes, multijurisdictional financial and tax matters, and high-stakes civil and criminal cases in federal and state courts. He advises companies on regulatory and governance issues tied to financing and handles disputes involving derivatives, venture capital, debt financing and SPAC transactions. He also has extensive experience in enforcing foreign judgments, asset recovery and navigating intricate commercial fraud matters.
Solomon previously served as a federal prosecutor in the Northern District of New York and as an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan DA’s Major Economic Crimes Bureau, where he played leading roles in major fraud, tax and money-laundering cases.
Prior to joining Morrison Cohen, Solomon was a partner at Lewis Baach Kaufmann Middlemiss PLLC. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the American University Washington College of Law and his B.A. from Oberlin College.
Stephanie brings extensive experience in government and crisis management, having served as Mayor of Baltimore from 2010 to 2016 and as president of the United States Conference of Mayors from 2015 to 2016. Her leadership solidified her reputation as a national advocate for urban development and public policy. She offers strategic counsel on regulatory matters, public relations and crisis management, advising clients on high-stakes issues at all levels of government. Her practice focuses on assisting organizations as they manage reputational risks and challenges in evolving regulatory environments.
Stephanie earned her J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and her B.A. from Oberlin College.
