Randi Mason Quoted in the New York Law Journal about Dealmaking at Midsize Law Firms
Randi Mason, Co-Chair of the Corporate Department, was the subject of a Q&A profile in the New York Law Journal in which she addressed deal making at midsize firms.
Among other things, Randi said, “Although it can take more time to become an expert in one practice area, it makes you so much more resistant to fluctuations in the market. During the recession, M&A had slowed down almost to a halt, [but there was] still a lot of venture finance. I do the transactions in the bull markets, but when it’s a bear market and there’s a lot of restructuring activity... I just pivot my practice to restructuring.”
