Morrison Cohen Sponsors Arsht Center’s 18th Anniversary Gala

Morrison Cohen, in a gift underwritten by Y. David Scharf, was among the sponsors of the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts’ 18th Anniversary Gala, held on April 13, 2024. The Center’s marquee philanthropic event united more than 300 community leaders and raised more than $2 million in support of the Center’s mission-driven education and community engagement programs, which serve more than 100,000 annually.

This year’s gala, Ville Lumière – City of Light, transported guests to the romantic streets of Paris and included pop-up musical vignettes, French culinary delights and a surprise performance from nearly one dozen alumni of the Arsht Center’s education programs.  

David, who serves as Director of the Arsht Center’s Trust Board, said, “We believe strongly in the impactful arts education opportunities that the Arsht Center provides. Sharing the arts with young people means contributing to their intellectual and emotional development and investing in healthier and smarter future generations.”
