Morrison Cohen Represents Custom Essence in Connection with Sale to Givaudan
December 14, 2021 – Morrison Cohen’s Corporate Department recently represented Custom Essence, a New Jersey-based fragrance creation house, in connection with its sale to Givaudan Fragrance & Beauty. The acquisition was part of the Swiss company’s 2025 strategy to grow its capabilities into natural perfumes.
Founded in 1981, Custom Essence specializes in the formulation of natural fragrances and creates perfumes across categories for local, regional, and larger customers. The company employs 70 people globally and has created some of the leading consumer preferred fragranced products in the US.
Givaudan (GIVN) is a Swiss multinational manufacturer of flavours, fragrances, and active cosmetic ingredients. Its shares are traded on the SIX Swiss Exchange.
