Morrison Cohen Partners to Appear on Panels at Virtual Fashion Law Conference of the Federal Bar Association

Morrison Cohen Partners Joseph T. Moldovan and Danielle C. Lesser will appear on different panels at the five-day Virtual Fashion Law Conference of the Federal Bar Association, which will occur online from Monday, February 8 to Friday, February 12, 2021.

Danielle C. Lesser will be part of a panel focusing on Covid-19 and other ‘force majeure’ occurrences and how they affect the fashion and retail industries.  

The expert panel of “Cutting Strings and Starting Anew: Termination and Force Majeure Clauses” will address how the Covid-19 pandemic has affected termination of leases, licensing, and other critical issues that determine survival for some businesses. 

On the panel with Danielle are a legal journalist and an expert on constitutional and human rights. The talk should be of great interest to any retail or fashion enterprise dealing with the pandemic.

The live talk is on Tuesday, February 9th at 12 noon to 1 pm Eastern time.  
 
In his panel, Joe Moldovan will focus on his success in a fashion bankruptcy case, concluded just last month, in “Furla’s Fresh Start: 84 Days from Filing to Exit.”

In a quick reorganization not only approved, but also highly praised, by a federal bankruptcy judge, Joe ran Furla USA’s restructuring to the acclaim of both the client and the company’s creditors.

In the live talk Thursday, February 11 from 12 noon to 1 pm Eastern time, Joe will appear on a panel called “Main Street Bankruptcies: How to Navigate a Retailer’s Reorganization.” The panel will be moderated by Olivera Medenica and feature Adine Momoh and Camille Somoza, all lawyers knowledgeable about the industry; the event should be of great interest to any retail or fashion enterprise.
