Morrison Cohen Participates in Diversity Lab’s Midsize Mansfield Rule

Morrison Cohen is proud to announce that as part of our goal to sustain a diverse and inclusive environment, beginning March 15, 2022, the firm will participate in the Midsize Mansfield Rule.

This initiative, as established by Diversity Lab, is our formal commitment to consider an intentionally broad pool of candidates for leadership and high visibility positions. Over the next 18 months, the duration of the certification period for midsize firms to earn “Mansfield Certification,” we will consider at least 30 percent women and diverse attorneys for promotions, lateral hiring, significant leadership roles, and inclusion on pitch teams.

Partner Alvin Lin, chair of the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, and Magda Fuentes, Director of Finance, will implement the program along with a committee of attorneys and staff.

“By participating in The Mansfield Rule, we are ensuring that the firm consistently and consciously takes a more inclusive approach when making important decisions that impact the next generation of firm leaders,” said Co-Managing Partner Steven Cooperman.
