Madison Schaper Joins Morrison Cohen

Morrison Cohen welcomes Associate Madison Schaper, who joins the firm in our Digital Assets Practice, where she focuses on complex commercial litigation and arbitration, representing clients in the financial services and cryptocurrency industries.

Madison’s experience includes representing a cryptocurrency client in American Arbitration Association arbitration involving breach of contract claims, defending a financial institution in federal litigation involving fraudulent concealment, and representing a bank in multiple federal actions under the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act, including turnover proceedings, writs of garnishment and third-party subpoenas. She also advises clients on regulatory compliance matters.

Prior to joining Morrison Cohen, Madison was a litigation associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. During law school, she served as a clinical student at the Rutgers Housing Justice and Tenant Solidarity Clinic and as a legal intern at the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the District of NJ.

Madison earned a J.D., summa cum laude and Order of the Coif, from Rutgers University and a B.A., with Honors and Highest Distinction, from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
