Jason Gottlieb Quoted on Increased Class Actions Against Crypto Companies
Jason Gottlieb was quoted in a September 21, 2022 Bloomberg Law article entitled “Crypto Lawyers Bet Big on Class Action Lawsuits as Market Slides,” which discussed how a handful of boutique law firms are piling up class actions against crypto companies as the SEC’s scrutiny of the cryptocurrency industry increases. Since 2016, 58 securities class actions against crypto companies have been filed, a number that surged in the first six months of 2022.
In the article, Jason stated, “In a way, the space has a ‘more money, more problems’ thing going on, where it’s mature enough where it can attract attention from class action lawyers, whether that attention is warranted or not.” He continued, “It’s very easy to copy and paste a complaint from one company to another.”
