Jason Gottlieb Moderates “Fireside Chat” with SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce
Jason Gottlieb, Partner & Chair of our White Collar and Regulatory Enforcement Group, had the honor of speaking one-on-one with SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce in a “fireside chat” held by DeFiCon, a decentralized finance convention. Jason served as moderator of the “Spotlight Speech,” which was held in Brooklyn on December 18, 2021.
Commissioner Peirce spoke (in her individual capacity, and not on behalf of the SEC) with Jason on topics including regulation of DAOs, the balance between First Amendment rights to publish software and securities regulations, and the need for further ongoing conversations among businesses, regulators, and lawmakers in this rapidly-developing space.
Jason is an authority in the cutting-edge digital assets arena and will be an important figure as the industry continues to develop.
