David Ross Joins Morrison Cohen
April 23, 2021 - Morrison Cohen is pleased to announce that David E. Ross has joined the firm as a partner in the Business Litigation Department. David’s practice focuses on prosecuting and defending claims arising from complex litigation and other business disputes.
Prior to joining Morrison Cohen, David was a litigation partner at Meister Seelig & Fein, where he counseled and represented high net worth individuals, closely-held corporations and partnerships, and publicly traded REIT’s, all spanning various industries including, among others, real estate developers, financial companies, consumer products, health care, nutrition and wellness, publishing, and e-commerce. He has extensive trial and arbitration experience, including injunction hearings and other pre-judgment remedy evidentiary proceedings. David’s representations have led to verdicts and dismissals that have ranged in millions of dollars for his clients. Most notably, he secured a $100 million verdict in an eminent domain case on behalf of a publicly traded REIT.
“David has cultivated a rich and diverse litigation practice over the last 11 years, with outstanding results for his clients,” said Chair and Co-Managing Partner Y. David Scharf. “His extensive courtroom experience and expertise further complements our talented team of trial lawyers. The addition of David to our partnership continues our rich tradition of excellence for our clients.”
Chair and Co-Managing Partner Steven M. Cooperman added, “The recent growth in our associate and partnership ranks is a testament to the success and resiliency of the firm, as we continue to see an increase in demand across all our practice areas. David’s arrival is a welcome addition to the Morrison Cohen family and to our clients who rely on our legal services.”
