Darcy Katris Becomes Co-Chair of the New York State Bar Association Joint Elder Law/Trust and Estate Sections Task Force
August 3, 2020 - Darcy Katris, Partner and Co-Chair of the firm's Family Office Group, was selected to be Co-Chair of the newly-formed New York State Bar Association Joint Elder Law/Trust and Estates Sections Task Force. The Task Force was formed to evaluate pending legislative proposals related to the COVID-19 pandemic; pursue new legislative proposals that address issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic; and address the modernization of the execution of estate planning documents.
Darcy has been a longstanding member of the New York State Bar Association Trusts and Estates Law Section Executive Committee, as well as Chair of that Section's Digital Wills and Sponsorship Committees. Darcy's practice spans more than 25 years of assisting clients with complex trust, estate, and tax issues. She also has a niche practice in advising clients on art collections and the administration of such collections through auctions, foundations, and museums.
