Danielle Lesser Quoted in Law360 Regarding the Evolution of Landlord-Tenant Disputes Post-Pandemic
Danielle Lesser, Partner and Chair of the Business Litigation Department, was quoted in Law360 on how Covid-related rent disputes that were heading toward litigation a year ago are now being settled.
In the article, entitled, “Trends That Defined Real Estate In 2021,” Danielle said, "People [a year ago] were attempting to argue the various legal concepts, force majeure, impossibility of performance. In the New York market, I'm not sure that the trends were in favor of the tenants. A year ago, people were beginning to litigate those issues. I think now people are settling those issues."
