Daniel Studin was a contributing author of the American Bar Association’s September/October issue of Probate & Property magazine. His article, “Celebrity Estate Planning: Misfires of the Rich and Famous V,” discusses issues in the estates of Earl Simmons (“DMX”), Larry King, Eleanor Close Barzin, Kobe Bryant, Kenny Rogers, and Chadwick Boseman, and planning to avoid similar results.
The articles advises, “Given today’s increasingly varied and complex families, everyone, including but not limited to wealthy celebrities, should protect assets and loved ones by hiring competent estate planning counsel and devising thoughtful and comprehensive estate plans.”
