Briony J. Driscoll and James L. Walker, III Join Morrison Cohen’s Corporate Practice

Morrison Cohen welcomes Associates Briony Driscoll and James Walker to our Corporate Practice, where they will focus on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, corporate governance and other strategic corporate transactions.

Briony counsels public and private companies, sponsors and emerging companies in connection with domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, SPAC transactions, venture financings, corporate governance, shareholder activism and takeover defense preparedness. She is also experienced in leveraged and investment-grade acquisition financings, asset-based financings, direct lending financings and restructurings. Briony was previously an associate at Feuerstein Kulick LLP, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer US LLP and Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP. She received an LL.M. in U.S. Law from Washington University in St. Louis and an LL.B., First Class Honors, and a B.A. from The University of Queensland, Australia.

James represents public and private companies and investment funds in complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (strategic, private equity sponsor and distressed), take-privates, corporate financing, joint ventures and other strategic transactions.  Prior to joining Morrison Cohen, James was an associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. He received a J.D., cum laude, from Howard University, where he was a staff editor of the Howard Human and Civil Rights Law Review, and an Administration of Justice, cum laude, from Howard University.
