Maria Segui assists the co-chairs of the Corporate Practice with department and client-related administrative matters.
Maria works closely with HR and management in the recruiting, onboarding, training and evaluations of associates. In addition, she supervises the team of paralegals that supports the Corporate and IP Practices and assists with paralegal hiring and training. In her own role as paralegal, Maria is focused on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, securities and capital markets, venture capital, private equity and IP matters.
Maria has 26 years of paralegal experience and joined Morrison Cohen in 2004 after working at firms including Gibney, Anthony & Flaherty and Fulbright & Jaworski LLP (now Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP). Before her legal career, Maria worked in the nonprofit sector as a case manager and managed a habilitation clinic for individuals with physical, mental and emotional challenges.
