Maria Massimo focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, securities litigation, white collar defense and government investigations. She has represented public and private companies, real estate investment trusts, boards of directors, board committees and individuals.
Prior to joining Morrison Cohen, Maria was an associate in the Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group at Goodwin Procter. There, she completed a six-month secondment with the Kings County District Attorney's Office, serving as a Special Assistant District Attorney. In that role, she prosecuted numerous felony and misdemeanor cases, including presenting cases to the Grand Jury, conducting hearings, investigating matters, negotiating plea agreements and preparing cases for trial.
During law school, Maria served as a judicial intern to Magistrate Judge Marianne Bowler of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and as a legal intern with the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York.
