Lanie Halpern Associate

Lanie Halpern advises clients on an array of executive compensation and employee benefits matters, including those arising in connection with mergers and acquisitions and corporate transactions.

Lanie counsels clients on compensation and benefits structures, including the design and implementation of equity and non-equity incentive arrangements, with a focus on stock, stock option and profits interest programs. She regularly drafts and negotiates executive employment, separation and severance, change-in-control, retention, non-competition, non-solicitation and other compensation-related agreements and arrangements. In addition, Lanie advises on the impact of Sections 280G and 409A of the Internal Revenue Code and compensation-related securities regulations affecting businesses and individuals.

Prior to joining Morrison Cohen, Lanie was an associate in the Executive Compensation Group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
