Christopher LoBosco focuses his practice on complex civil litigation matters, representing multinational companies, financial institutions and governmental entities in state and federal courts. 

Chris’s experience includes litigating breach of contract and fraud disputes, mass torts, trusts and estates matters and judgment collection proceedings. He is active in all phases of litigation from pleadings through trial.
Chris is passionate about pro bono work and has represented indigent clients in multiple ongoing capital punishment post-conviction relief cases. Prior to joining Morrison Cohen, he was an associate in the Global Commercial Disputes Practice at Reed Smith LLP.

Experience

Prior to joining Morrison Cohen

  • Defended major bank institution on breach of contract and fraudulent inducement claims seeking over $12 million in S.D.N.Y. through trial, which secured a favorable verdict for client, including a $2.5 million award of attorneys’ fees.
  • Represented large corporate lender in judgment collection proceedings aimed at collecting funds in satisfaction of two separate judgments of $40+ million and $26+ million.
  • Represented large corporate lender in an action against the purchaser of its employment rights credits (ERC) for breach of contract, fraud, and conversion, resulting in the grant of preliminary injuctive relief and an ultimate favorable out-of-court settlement of over $6 million, and additional business from another client for services related to ERC litigation.
  • Represented major health insurance company against breach of contract, tortious interference, and bad faith denial of benefit claims in Iowa State Court.
  • Represented high net-worth individual in a breach of contract action against a borrower.
  • Represented privately held commercial lender in a breach of contract dispute, which resulted in a $3.3 million award for the client, plus attorneys’ fees.
  • Defended foreign country’s national bank against judgment creditor’s improperly issued restraining notices and subpoenas.
  • Pro bono representation in capital punishment post-conviction relief matters, as well as $300,000+ breach of contract dispute.
