Randi Mason Quoted in PE Hub on PE Firms Investing in Fertility Space
Partner Randi Mason was quoted in a PE Hub article entitled “Fertility Delivers Investment Opportunities: 5 PE-Backed Deals.” The article discussed how private equity firms are pursuing diverse investments in the fertility space, from app technology to brick-and-mortar clinics. The article rounded up five notable PE-backed deals, including investments by General Atlantic, Amulet Capital Partners and In Tandem Capital Partners.
Randi, who works with private investment funds as co-chair of Morrison Cohen’s Corporate Practice, told PE Hub that some of the opportunities that are particularly interesting in the fertility sector are apps and app tie-in wearables. For example, she stated, “Oura Ring has partnered with a period tracking app that monitors your temperature and can predict your ovulation. It takes a lot of the work out of monitoring peak fertility. I think we’ve seen a lot of things along those lines.”
