Morrison Cohen Represents LiveArt in its Founding, Structuring, Financing, and Acquisition Transactions
May 14, 2021 - Morrison Cohen recently represented LiveArt in connection with its founding, structuring, and launch, as well as in connection with the acquisition of one of its key assets – the real-time auction tracking app Live Auction Art, acquired from Blue Index, a technology company focused on the art world that is affiliated with Korea's largest auction house, Seoul Auction.
LiveArt is a new digital business that is ushering in the next phase of the art market by providing both seasoned and aspiring collectors with the necessary tools to buy, sell, or hold works of art without relying on traditional intermediaries. LiveArt was conceived to address the inherent illiquidity of the art market by providing participants at all levels with one destination for real-time information and an efficient, secure marketplace in which to privately transact.
