Morrison Cohen Recognizes Pride Month
June is Pride Month, a time to acknowledge the strides made in advancing LGBTQ+ rights while recognizing the need for continued support and advocacy. As we celebrate, let us embrace the diverse spectrum of identities within the LGBTQ+ community and strive to create an environment where individuals can live authentically, openly and without fear of judgment.
This year, the official theme for NYC Pride is “Strength in Solidarity.” It is through solidarity of the community and its allies that we can unite with others, to uplift and support the LGBTQ+ community and create workplaces and communities where everyone feels safe, valued, respected and free to express their individual uniqueness.
Pride Month also serves as an opportunity to honor the significant contributions of the LGBTQ+ community to our history and culture. The impact of the LGBTQ+ community continues to enrich our lives and push society forward. Throughout the month, we encourage all of you to increase your knowledge, attend events and seek ways to promote equality and acceptance in your own lives.
