Jason Gottlieb to Speak on Panel at NYCBA 2022 Blockchain Institute
Jason Gottlieb will participate on a panel entitled “(Un)Coordinated Inter-Regulatory Response to Digital Assets,” at the New York City Bar Association 2022 Blockchain Institute. The panel will discuss DAOs, lending agreements, jurisdiction (CFTC/SEC), recent cases, market manipulation and insider trading issues, and exchanges.
The conversation will be led by Kayvan B. Sadeghi, partner at Jenner & Block, and will include Lewis Cohen, co-founder of DLx Law; Kristina Littman, partner at Willkie Farr & Gallagher; James McDonald, partner at Sullivan & Cromwell; Tiffany J. Smith, partner at WilmerHale; and David Zaslowski, partner at Baker McKenzie.
The Blockchain Institute event will provide a comprehensive understanding of the legal and regulatory issues surrounding blockchain technology and digital assets. Six panels of experts will discuss the nuanced regulatory frameworks involving securities, commodities, banking, and taxation within the US and abroad. Experts will provide insight as to the successes and pitfalls of piecemeal regulation, and discuss how guidance and foreign regulators could shape future U.S. policies.
The event will take place in person on November 7, 2022 from 9 am to 6 pm ET and will include a networking reception.
