Celebrating Pride Month
We at Morrison Cohen come together to celebrate visibility, self-worth, and dignity for all members of the LGBTQ community. During Pride Month, we encourage all members of the Morrison Cohen family to honor and recognize the contributions of members of the LGBTQ community, remember the hardships faced, celebrate the progress made, and reaffirm the continued fight against discrimination and prejudice.
As part of our firm’s celebration of Pride, on Thursday, June 24 at 4 p.m., Morrison Cohen will host a special talk with Stéfanie Lacroix, Staff Attorney at Immigration Equality. Ms. Lacroix will discuss the incredible work being carried out by Immigration Equality, a 25-year-old New York-based organization that is America’s leading LGBTQ and HIV-positive immigrant rights organization, promoting justice and equality for LGBTQ and HIV-positive immigrants and their families through direct legal services, policy advocacy, and impact litigation. We look forward to an engaging conversation about Immigration Equality’s long-time service to the LGBTQ community, and how private law firms can support this work through pro bono partnerships and participation.
