Brian Forman Becomes Member of NYC Bar Private Investment Funds Committee
Congratulations to Partner Brian Forman, who was recently appointed a voting member of the New York City Bar Association’s Private Investment Funds (PIF) Committee.
The PIF Committee addresses issues affecting private funds, including hedge funds, private equity funds and venture capital funds, and their sponsors. Areas of law and regulation considered by the Committee include the Investment Advisers Act, Commodity Exchange Act, Investment Company Act, U.S. federal income tax laws and regulations, ERISA, and international, state and local laws and regulatory authorities.
Brian, who is chair of Morrison Cohen’s Investment Funds and Advisers Practice, said, “I am honored to become a member of the NYC Bar Association’s Private Investment Funds Committee – a perfect fit for my skillset and experience. Being a part of the committee is a terrific opportunity to collaborate with other lawyers and contribute to the private investment funds space on a larger scale.”
