Charles M. Pfeifer Joins Morrison Cohen

Morrison Cohen welcomes Associate Charles Pfeifer, who joins the firm in our Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits Practice. Charlie advises businesses and individuals on a broad array of executive compensation and employee benefits matters, including those arising in connection with mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions.

Charlie counsels public and private entities on compensation and benefits structures, including the design and implementation of annual and long-term equity and non-equity incentive arrangements, with a focus on stock, stock option and profits interest programs. He regularly drafts and negotiates executive employment, separation and severance, change-in-control, retention and other related agreements and arrangements. In addition, Charlie advises on the impact of Sections 280G and 409A of the Internal Revenue Code and compensation-related securities regulations affecting businesses and individuals.  

Prior to joining Morrison Cohen, Charlie was an associate in the Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits Group at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and was previously in the Mergers and Acquisition Tax Group at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Charlie received an LL.M. in Taxation and J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. from Yale University.
