David B. Saxe Participates in Fordham Law School Class Discussion on Judging and the Judicial Process

October 25, 2019 – On October 28, 2019, Morrison Cohen Partner Hon. David B. Saxe (ret.) will participate in a discussion at a Fordham Law School class taught by Adjunct Professor Joel Cohen that focuses on judging and the judicial process. Along with Judge Saxe, the other participant will be the current Presiding Justice of the Appellate Division, First Department Hon. Rolando T. Acosta.

This class will focus in part, on the importance of dissents in an intermediate appellate court such as the Appellate Division, First Department and certain past alleged attempts by court administrators to stifle appellate dissents. Issues relating to judicial independence and judicial collegiality will be taken up as well.

Judge Saxe serves as a member of the Governor's Screening Committee for the Appellate Division, First Department on the recommendation of Presiding Justice Rolando T. Acosta.
