Y. David Scharf Comments on Canceled Sinclair Broadcast Merger with Tribune Media

August 16, 2018 – Morrison Cohen Partner Y. David Scharf was quoted in the article “Sinclair Pumps Brakes on FCC Review After Merger Call-Off” that appeared in Law360 on August 10, 2018.  David comments that Sinclair and Tribune's actions right now could also be strategic moves to salvage the deal since both parties still have a lot at stake.  Sinclair is lobbying the FCC to drop its probe into whether it misled the agency during the merger review while filing a procedural move to speak in the proceeding if it goes forward.
