Y. David Scharf Authors Article on Impact of Tax Reform on the Sports Industry

February 20, 2018 – Morrison Cohen Partner Y. David Scharf authored the article “A Curveball for the Sports Industry” that appeared in U.S. News & World Report on February 20, 2018.

The article analyzes the possible impact of the elimination of tax deductions for business entertainment expenses on the sports industry.  The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act removes the business deduction for stadium suites or corporate sky boxes and client outings with tickets to the big game.  When the sporting event is suddenly much more expensive as compared to other entertainment optionswill the result will be less spending on sports entertainment?  Click here to read article.
