Morrison Cohen Negotiates Support for Miami Beach Hotel Development

Morrison Cohen has successfully represented the developer of a hotel in Miami Beach, Florida, against a threatened challenge by the board of a neighboring condominium to the approvals submitted by our client to the City of Miami Beach for the partial demolition and complete renovation of our client's property for use as a luxury hotel.  Morrison Cohen was able to help negotiate for cooperation from the condominium board with respect to the approval process, and was also instrumental in striking a deal limiting the condominium board's ability to interfere with our client's operation of the hotel.  With the support of the condominium board's counsel at variance hearings, which was a material inducement for our client to reach agreement with the condominium board, our client obtained the requested approvals and will be proceeding with the hotel project.
