David is a Partner in the Business Litigation department. He handles all phases of complex litigation, from pleading through trial and appeals.

David has a broad-based litigation practice focused primarily on representing national and international retail tenants in leasing and construction disputes, particularly in New York City.  David also regularly represents real estate developers, landlords, property owners, and lenders in property, lease, land use, construction, and partnership disputes. These disputes include the valuation of real property and leasehold interests as part of partnership accountings, tax court proceedings, leasehold rent resets, partnership dissolutions, and the resolution of other conflicts involving real estate.

David’s practice also involves providing counsel to insureds and insurance companies regarding insurance and reinsurance disputes (which have involved credit risk insurance, residual value insurance, classic property and casualty insurance, business interruption losses, medical insurance, and life insurance).  David is also frequently called upon to represent high net-worth individuals (and their business entities) in professional and personal disputes, including partnership, contract, business tort, employment, compensation, and securities disputes.

In addition to representing clients in a wide variety of business disputes, David serves on the roster of neutrals approved by the American Arbitration Association (AAA), and frequently serves as a neutral or party-appointed arbitrator in real estate, partnership and insurance arbitration proceedings before the AAA.
