Our interdisciplinary team knows the law and understands compliance, but we think about business. Clients come to us for our ability to solve their problems thoughtfully, while always making their business objectives our priority. Combining the resources of lawyers with technical, litigation, transactional, corporate and tax experience, we staff leanly and bill efficiently, offering outstanding responsiveness and partner attention. Technology

Clients across all industries turn to our technology transactions lawyers for our deep experience and reasonable approach that offers pragmatic, practical strategies that take into account each client’s overall business goals. We provide industry savvy advice and solutions with respect to all aspects of a business’s technology legal needs, including high impact technology implementations, cloud services, NFT drops, software licensing, web development, ERP implementations, implementation of automation, use of blockchain, and any number of other technology projects. We counsel clients in connection with all of their technology contracts, with an eye to maximizing business advantage and mitigating risk.

We stay on the cutting edge of developments and regulations in the areas of blockchain and cryptocurrency, and advise and assist clients on the issuance of NFTs, including in their use as certificates of authenticity for artwork or consumer products.

Where disputes arise, we protect our clients’ valuable rights through litigation in state and federal courts as well as in foreign tribunals.

Data

Clients trust our data lawyers to help them understand their data lifecycle and navigate the web of legal requirements and practical aspects of data compliance, both in the privacy and data security space. Our team provides pragmatic advice that helps our clients protect the integrity and security of their critical data, comply with privacy and data security regulations, and understand and manage data risk throughout their business.

With our comprehensive understanding of the complex and often conflicting laws and regulations from state to state and around the world, we assist clients in developing and documenting data management programs that address compliance issues across jurisdictions. We offer a practical approach that allows clients to balance competing requirements and mitigate risk.

We combine broad data privacy and security experience with strategic business insights to advise clients on issues, risks, and agreements relating to privacy, cybersecurity, data storage, BYOD arrangements, third party vendors, and information management. In the event of a data breach or incident, clients look to us to confidently navigate the process of investigation, notification, and remediation.

We regularly assert and defend claims arising out of both data and personal privacy, including enforcing rights of publicity, such as use of a person’s name, voice, image, or likeness.

IP

Our intellectual property lawyers counsel clients concerning the creation, exploitation, and protection of valuable intellectual property rights, including trademarks, trade dress, copyrights, website content, images and copy, trade secrets, patents, and publicity and privacy rights. With intellectual property and technology assets becoming an increasingly significant element of business balance sheets, our team’s skills are particularly timely and valuable. We provide global reach and international intellectual property portfolio management through our network of lawyers worldwide.

We help our clients monetize their domestic and foreign technology and intellectual property assets in connection with business combinations, in mergers and acquisitions, and through licensing deals or capital finance transactions. We protect those assets against infringement, misappropriation, false advertising, unfair competition, and antitrust concerns.

Clients turn to us to handle complex licensing transactions, joint ventures, distribution and reseller agreements, software development, and other strategic partnering and commercial agreements. Additionally, we help individual and corporate clients in entertainment, internet, and social media spaces to monetize their domestic and foreign intellectual property assets and license their valuable artistic and personal rights through sponsorship, appearance, endorsement, publishing, podcast, advertising, and content-sharing transactions and agreements. We also help protect both employers’ and employees’ rights regarding confidential and proprietary assets and subject to non-compete and non-solicit restrictions.

Our IP clients include members of virtually every industry, from the entertainment, fashion, and literary fields, to computer hardware, software, and web developers, to internet content providers and e-commerce merchants, to high-tech, pharmaceutical, food services, and consumer product manufacturers, distributors, and purveyors.

Our litigators regularly protect and defend our clients' intellectual property assets in federal and state courts, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and other administrative venues, as well as ICANN and various arbitration tribunals. We frequently litigate complex trademark, copyright, trade secret, restrictive covenant, and patent disputes.  While we seek to resolve such litigations promptly and efficiently, often through mediation and other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, we have successfully tried many intellectual property cases to their ultimate conclusion.
