Morrison Cohen Named to Vault’s 2018 “Best Midsize Law Firms to Work For” and “Top 150 Under 150”

July 20, 2017 - Morrison Cohen was named to Vault's 2018 “Best Midsize Law Firms to Work For” rankings.  Only 20 law firms received this ranking, which is based on feedback received from associates regarding their work life.  Using a formula that weighs categories for an overall quality of life ranking at a midsize firm, associates were asked to rate their firm on a 1-to-10 scale for each of several quality of life categories, including compensation, diversity, firm culture, hours, quality of work and overall satisfaction.

In addition, the firm was named to the “Top 150 Under 150,” Vault's list of leading midsize law firms.  Vault created the 150 list to recognize outstanding law firms with fewer attorneys, but no less expertise, than the global megafirms that often otherwise dominate rankings and headlines.

To determine the Top 150 Under 150, Vault developed a list of the best-known and most sought-after U.S. firms with fewer than 150 attorneys. Vault's editorial and research teams studied the Vault survey data, news stories, trade journals and other legal publications; spoke with lawyers in the field and reviewed other published rankings. Vault editors also assessed each firm for prestige, quality of life and professional growth opportunities, and then narrowed down the results to come up with a list of 150 law firms known for providing top-notch service and delivering big results.
