Morrison Cohen LLP Names Kristin T. Roy to Deputy Managing Partner-Finance

New York, New York, January 31, 2017 – Morrison Cohen LLP today announced the promotion of Kristin T. Roy, a partner in the Business Litigation Department, to the firm's senior leadership as Deputy Managing Partner-Finance.

“Morrison Cohen is a meritocracy that is committed both to recognizing the value contributed by each of its talented professionals, and to cultivating a professional environment that encompasses a broad diversity of backgrounds, perspectives and experiences,” Morrison Cohen Chairman David Scherl said.

In promoting Kristin to the point position on finance, MoCo is accomplishing both of its goals: recognizing the value Kristin brings to the table, and promoting another woman to the senior management ranks.

“Women currently hold several of Morrison Cohen's most important leadership positions, including Deputy Managing Partner-Operations, as well as the Co-Chairs of the firm's second-largest department, Business Litigation,” Scherl added.

“Kristin is a dynamic member of our Business Litigation team and our firm,” said Mary E. Flynn, Co-Chair of Business Litigation and Deputy Managing Partner-Operations. “Her finance expertise and analytical skills make her the perfect choice for this key leadership position.”

Kristin is partner in the firm's Business Litigation Department. She is a trial and appellate lawyer with a wide range of experience in antitrust, financial instrument, real estate, regulatory, insurance, contract, and partnership disputes, and employment and trade dress matters. She represents and counsels publically traded REITs, private equity firms, financial institutions, real estate developers, health-care institutions, family-offices, lenders and high-net worth individuals.  Click here for press release.
