Malcolm (“Nick”) Lewin is a founding Partner of the Firm and Partner Emeritus in the Business Litigation Department. Nick represents major U.S. and international companies, including defense contractors and leaders in the entertainment, transportation, and wholesale supply industries, in a wide array of litigation matters. Nick is also a lawyer’s lawyer, working closely with general counsels and correspondent attorneys that advise a broad range of domestic and international companies and individuals. Nick is particularly attuned to the needs and concerns of foreign clients who may not be generally familiar with U.S. litigation and practice.
An experienced litigator in cases including intellectual property, antitrust, defamation, product liability, professional negligence, real estate, and general commercial issues, Nick has tried many cases, jury and non-jury, in New York state and federal courts as well as in the courts of New Jersey and Florida. Nick has been a New York State Bar Association lecturer on discovery techniques and has substantial experience in arbitrations and mediation. He stresses early assessment and analysis of tactical and strategic opportunities to facilitate cost-efficient resolutions for clients.
