Josh is a Partner in Morrison Cohen’s Corporate Department and its Intellectual Property Group. His practice focuses on guiding clients through complex commercial transactions and on building, protecting, and exploiting celebrity and corporate brands.
Josh has extensive experience representing buyers, sellers, companies, and investors in strategic and financial mergers and acquisitions, private equity financings, recapitalizations, and restructurings. In addition, he regularly acts as outside general counsel and adviser to individual celebrity personalities and start-up and early stage companies through commercial and intellectual property transactions of all kinds. Partnering with clients to understand short and long-term goals, Josh helps build, protect, and exploit celebrity and corporate brands, including through trademark prosecution, copyright filings, licensing agreements, distribution agreements, celebrity and corporate websites and blogs, talent agreements, appearance agreements, corporate sponsorship agreements, and corporate investments. Josh leverages his experience in capital financing and other M&A transactions to help identify key issues facing celebrity and corporate clients as they establish, grow, and ultimately exploit their brands.
Josh began his legal career at Morrison Cohen in 2003. Prior to college, Josh’s first career was as a professional actor, co-starring in an Emmy-award winning television show, and appearing on Broadway and in feature films, television films, and commercials.
