Recognized by Crain’s “40 Under 40” and a New York Super Lawyer, David has broad national experience representing various stakeholders, including private equity funds, hedge funds, public companies, condominium and co-op sponsors, developers, hospitality companies, tenants and landlords, purchasers, brokers, and mortgage lenders. His experience extends to all facets of business and real estate litigation. During the recent financial crisis, David has focused on significant restructuring, counseling, advisory work, and related litigation matters, representing a mix of opportunistic investors, lenders, and borrowers in states across the country. He has also successfully litigated multi-million-dollar corporate takeovers, shareholder disputes, and securities-related matters.
In addition to his business cases, David has also built a practice advising business celebrities and artists in the music industry. David is a mentor to young law students, organizes and heads various pro-bono projects, and is a frequent lecturer at the Urban Land Institute, local civic groups, and the Learning Annex.
